Andrew Edmund Turpen

- a.k.a 'Baldy Locks', 'ankle undies' and about a dozen other aliases, Andrew IS the original frontman for UNCLE MEAT and the first guy to answer the ad AND show up to the 'Survivor' sessions. This fucker busted ass and sweat BLOOD at every show we played with him and we're grateful to have had his participation and unique talents in our original living dedication to Mr. Frank Zappa -- the Detroit quartet: UNCLE MEAT. Cheers Turpen!!

Vince LeBlanc - a.k.a. 'Dr. Science', Vince was involved in the initial 'Survivor' sessions and is the original drummer for UNCLE MEAT. He had actually made the cut as a guitar player, but when Jeremy chumped out we caught Vince muttering something under his breath about having played drums in school .. and the rest is history. Now with sticks in hand, he dove into a world of strange subdivisions, transcribing beastly passages and seedy Detroit bars. Thanks Vince!!

Dave Hoadley - Dave was invovled in the Zappa survivor sessions and worked as road crew for like 20 shows... a helluva guitar player and a good friend... back for the '06 Mini-Tour... Thanks Dave!!!

Nelson Mercer - a.k.a 'Nelton the Toaster', Nelson auditioned for the drum seat after Vince left. He was diagnosed as an adolescent by several music instructors as having a severe Frank "problem". Was in and out of several rehab programs but could never take the Muzak. Also suffers from acute seasonal Bozzio/Coliauta affective disorder. After having his drumming style pronounced "unsuitable" by several Hair/Metal bands as well as people in the industry familiar with many of the styles popular in music today."Hooking up with these guys has really been no fucking help whatsoever for my condition" , says Mercer, "And yet somehow I'm feeling much better!"

Jeremy Edwards - Drummer tryout during the original "Zappa Survivor" sessions. Made the audition, but never followed through even though he actually has his own set of vibes...

Clint Sabon - Clint auditioned after Vince left as well, and made the cut along with Nelson. Seemed legit, made some rehearsals and actually played pretty good. Then after a night in Maumee we were suspiciously down $70... reasons cited were either that "I set up the gig.." or "I wasn't allowed to play" although the insistence was there... you can't play FZ stumbling drunk sir ... appreciate the effort up until that night.

Rob Garza (no pic) - Mr. Garza played one show with the URR and is a cool guy that plays a funky bass.
Best of luck on your travels!

John Moore - Tryout during the original "Zappa Survivor" sessions. Been to a few UM and URR shows, and now drives the musical vehicle 'Shrimpanzee'!!!

Dave - Vocal tryout during the original "Zappa Survivor" sessions. Arrested by the DEA ... last seen somewhere down on Six Mile.. (?)

Tyler Nall - Tyler worked road crew on a few shows with us and now is off to college... best of luck Tyler, and Thanks!!!

Rudy Maldonado - a.k.a. 'The Nun'...URR Drummer for the '04/'06 seasons. Rudy is the only vet to be in the band twice and was fortunate enough to go on tour with Ike Willis 6/06!!!!

Kerry Gluckman

- URR Drummer for the 2004 season. Can be heard on the 04 demo and the 'live at the Attic' recordings. Left the band to catch up on his love of Simon and Garfunkel and to get the feeling back in his left elbow...

Dave Cheney

August Krueger - (no pic by request) "Quitting is for winners" and I suppose not paying your debts makes you a hero?!?!
